Our story.
DAMN Plan® Coaching is a mother-daughter team with one mission: help nonprofit leaders align mission with money and build financially stable, impact-driven organizations that actually work.
We’ve been in the trenches—with our clients and in our own lives. As women, mothers, and business owners, we know what it means to juggle leadership and life. Between us, we bring over 45 years of experience in entrepreneurship, executive leadership, coaching, and consulting. We’ve owned businesses, turned around nonprofits, and walked alongside leaders who are doing the hard, daily work of changing their communities.
We created the DAMN Plan for Nonprofit Profitability™ because we got tired of watching passionate people burn out in broken systems. Nonprofits deserve better than survival mode. They deserve strategy, support, and financial stability.
We don’t do 90-page reports or pie-in-the-sky plans. We do real strategy, clear priorities, and practical tools that work in rural and diverse communities—where we’ve spent most of our careers.

Kim Nagle
Known as The DAMN Plan lady, Kim is a woman with a plan. Her life’s work is evidence of her deep-seated love for all things entrepreneurial. She started her first business at 14 and has owned 6 businesses since. In 1997, she founded Upgrow Business International, working with rural, Native American, and diverse communities across the Midwest to start, grow, and sustain profitable nonprofits, particularly Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI). With her expert guidance, three Native Community Development Financial Institutions have been formed along with the SBA Minnesota Women’s Business Center. She has raised over 100 million dollars to fund business incubators and business development programs in urban, rural, and tribal communities.Â
In partnership with her daughter, Kim founded DAMN Plan Coaching LLP to promote profit thinking and building businesses we love AND make money – so that we can live life on our terms. As a result of working with Kim and DAMN Plan Coaching, over 300 clients have started profitable businesses they love.
Kim is the author of The DAMN Plan® How To Find Freedom, Love, And Money In Your Business and soon-to-be-released Plan To Be Profitable. In her books, she presents lessons learned and core principles for success learned over 35 years of being in the trenches every day- doing the damn thing.
